CAPE Announcement on SCA5

That Section 31 of Article I thereof is amended to read:

SEC.31. (a) The Stae shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education, or public contracting.

The California Senate's supermajority vote on Jan 31 to pass the SCA5 bill is a shame of the Californians, as well as the Americans. It is unbelievable such outrageous discrimination can be written into law and practiced in the education system in American today, where the notion of equality is instilled into almost everywhere else, no matter it is about employment, housing or services.

The SCA5 bill is openly and specifically discrimination based on race, sex, color, ethnicity and national origin. It is by far the most racist bill introduced in a State legislature since the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

It is simply unconstitutional.

We believe, the best way to stop racial discrimination is to stop discriminating on the basis of race, EVERYWHERE, particularly in our public education system.

We at CAPE is determined to fight against SCA5 with all means to the end:

1. We will unite all people who are willing to fight together with us. Please sign up to show your support at:
